Meeting Your Green Building Requirements
Green Building Programs
Natural gas is the clear leader when it comes to efficiency and sustainability. As the “original green energy”, natural gas is readily available and can play a vital role in the design, construction and operation of high-performance buildings. And Laclede Gas is helping to lead the way in supporting and promoting the design and construction of energy-efficient, environmentally responsible “green” buildings in our area.
U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) -

At the commercial and industrial level, Laclede Gas Company serves on the Board of the St. Louis Regional Chapter of the US Green Building Council (USGBC). We’re also actively involved in promoting the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System, and work closely with our commercial customers to show them ways to meet certification guidelines.

Laclede Gas Company participates in the EPA Energy Star Portfolio Manager Program.
Commercial customers can also benefit from our participation in the EPA Energy Star Portfolio Manager program, a software program which tracks and assesses energy and water consumption for a single building or multiple buildings. This interactive tool can help customers set investment priorities, identify under-performing buildings, verify efficiency improvements, and receive EPA recognition for superior energy performance.
